Focused
on the worldwide success of ethanol, ICM's Business Development
Department began to focus internationally and also facilitated
Kansas' second E85 pump.
ICM's
reputation for being a top-notch ethanol plant engineer and
builder preceded the company, and international interest increased
to the point where an additional person was hired in the business
development department to meet the demand from outside the
U.S. borders. One of the first projects was to provide alcohol
dehydration technology to Disti-Chemi Metal Works in India
for four of their 3 MGY plants. The business development department
also worked to help improve consumer availability of ethanol,
convincing the Kwik Shop under construction in Maize, KS, to
carry both E10 and E85 ethanol-enriched fuel.
