ICM, Inc. Announces Contract with Kansas Ethanol LLC on Full-Scale Commercial Installation of its Fiber Separation Technology™ (FST™)

(Colwich, Kan. February 9, 2015) – ICM, Inc. is pleased to announce that Kansas Ethanol LLC, of Lyons, Kansas, has signed an agreement for purchase, license to operate, and full-scale installation of ICM’s patent-pending Fiber Separation Technology™. FST™ is a value-added platform technology that removes fiber from a standard ethanol process, allowing increased ethanol and oil recovery yields, unlocking throughput and efficiency for each gallon of ethanol produced, and creating options for diversified co-products with high-protein feeds and fiber.
Mike Chisam, President and CEO of Kansas Ethanol LLC, said, “Kansas Ethanol was in a similar situation a few years ago as an early adopter of ICM’s Selective Milling Technology™(SMT™), and SMT™’s success gave us a great deal of confidence as we considered taking this next step as an early adopter of FST™. Kansas Ethanol is blessed to have world class operations and maintenance teams that thrive in the exciting atmosphere of adopting new technologies, and ICM has proven themselves to be a trusted partner that truly wants us to succeed. We are eager to take full advantage of the benefits that FST™ is going to bring.”
Chris Mitchell, President of ICM, Inc., said, “Kansas Ethanol is both a valued customer and partner in the industry. We are impressed with Kansas Ethanol’s desire to be a leader in the renewable fuels industry and we appreciate this opportunity to help them set new operation and production standards with the addition of Fiber Separation Technology™.”
Kansas Ethanol is one of the 19 ethanol plants in North America either running or under contract to run ICM’s Selective Milling Technology™. Combined, these plants represent over 1.4 billion gallons of annual ethanol production.

Kansas Ethanol LLC joins a select group of ethanol plants that have signed an agreement for purchase, license to operate, and full-scale installation of Fiber Separation Technology™, including ICM Biofuels (formerly Lifeline Foods LLC) of St. Joseph, Missouri, IGPC Ethanol, Inc. of Ontario, Canada, and Redfield Energy LLC of Redfield, South Dakota.
