ICM, Inc. Announces Contract with Pacific Ethanol, Inc. on Purchase & Full-Scale Commercial Installation of its Selective Milling Technology™ (SMT™)

(Colwich, Kan. –February 5, 2014) – ICM is pleased to announce that Pacific Ethanol, Inc. has purchased its patent-pending Selective Milling Technology™ for installation at the Pacific Ethanol Magic Valley plant in Burley, Idaho. SMT™ is a value-added platform technology that increases ethanol yield, reduces viscosity and increases oil recovery for its customers.

Tom Ranallo, Vice President of Operations for ICM, Inc., said, “SMT™ is providing our customers, and the industry, with a new standard for ethanol yields, oil recovery yields, and overall plant efficiencies. We are excited to continue our relationship with Pacific Ethanol, Inc, and look forward to partnering with them to help realize their performance goals.”

Neil Koehler, Pacific Ethanol, Inc. president and CEO, stated, “We are committed to increasing our product yields, diversifying our revenue streams and improving profitability. We began commercial corn oil production with an ICM-designed system at our Magic Valley plant in mid-2013. SMT complements these operations by increasing both corn oil and ethanol yields and positions our Magic Valley plant for the potential future production of advanced biofuels that builds upon the SMT platform.”

With the agreement for purchase and full-scale installation at Pacific Ethanol Magic Valley, there are now fifteen ethanol plants in North America either running or under contract to run ICM’s Selective Milling Technology™, raising total throughput for ICM and its partner in this yield enhancement technology, Fluid Quip Process Technologies, to over 1,500,000,000 gallons of ethanol production per year.
