ICM, Inc. Announces Contract with Patriot Renewable Fuels, LLC on Purchase & Full-Scale Commercial Installation of its Selective Milling Technology™ (SMT™)

(Colwich, Kan. –October 17, 2013) – ICM is pleased to announce that Patriot Renewable Fuels LLC of Annawan, IL, has purchased its patent-pending Selective Milling Technology™. SMT™ is a value-added ICM platform technology investment that increases ethanol yield, reduces viscosity and increases oil recovery for its customers.

ICM President Chris Mitchell said, “It gives us great pleasure to announce the purchase of our Selective Milling Technology™ by Patriot Renewable Fuels. Today we celebrate two milestones – the first which illustrates ICM’s ability to provide our customers with this technology towards increasing the yield of more than one billion gallons of annual ethanol production. The second milestone we celebrate is Patriot’s five year anniversary as an ethanol producer, and as a solid contributor to the economic growth of Annawan and the surrounding region. We’re thrilled to continue delivering this successful yield enhancement solution that can improve our customers’ bottom line and strengthen their communities.”

Patriot Renewable Energy CEO Gene Griffith said, “We are excited to choose ICM’s SMT™ as a platform technology investment that delivers value-added product streams to our plant. Our recent open house celebration commemorated five years of operation, and it allowed us the opportunity to recognize the tremendous contributions that our farmers have made in creating an increased value for corn. As an independent producer, we have been thrilled to produce and globally export high quality dried distillers grains (DDGs), and stimulate economic growth of our community and beyond. Years ago, when we chose ICM to design our plant, we knew that the initial 100 MGY nameplate capacity could be surpassed because of their commitment to our success.”

Patriot Renewable Fuels general manager Rick Vondra added, “Today, we are a 120 MGY producer that draws upon the strength of ICM’s revolutionary platform technology and the ability of SMT™ to increase our ethanol yields, increase oil recovery yields, and ultimately increase our revenues. With our 200 local/Midwestern investors, we’ll harness that strength and continue to make an impact on agriculture and economic development.”

ICM, Inc. Announces Issuance of Canadian Patent for its Advanced Oil Separation™ (AOS™) System

(Colwich, Kan. –August 5, 2013) – ICM is pleased to announce the issuance of Canadian Patent No. 2,799,409 for its Advanced Oil Separation™ (AOS™) System. The Canadian AOS™ patent expires 20 years from an international filing date, expiring on May 11, 2031. ICM’s AOS ™technology employs both mechanical and chemical separation and delivers significant economic value to an ethanol plant by dramatically increasing a volume of non-food grade oil recovered from the plant’s process streams. ICM’s AOS™ uses a centrifuge as a mechanical dewatering device to deliver a targeted emulsion concentrate stream for further processing by adding a polar solvent, ethanol, as an emulsion breaking-agent. The ethanol liberates oil trapped in the emulsion concentrate that would not be recovered through other conventional methods.

Kurt Dieker, ICM Director of Product Development, said: “We’re especially excited for today’s announcement because of Canada’s strength as a diversified economy that supports innovation and technology. We look forward to expanding our product line through ICM’s patented AOS™ in Canada. We’ve shown that our AOS™ proprietary process technology delivers consistent oil recovery rates, financial payback in less than 12 months, and a product that has sustained a strong customer demand.”

Brock Beach, ICM Director of Product Management & Sales, added: “We’re thrilled to receive a Canadian patent for our AOS™ because it illustrates that global business opportunities are linked to economic growth – within and beyond our borders. To date, ICM has fulfilled more than 18 contracts of our U.S. patented AOS™ system to customer plants. With our newly-issued Canadian AOS™ patent, we are pleased to continue improving and adding value for customers through our oil separation platform.”
