For the past 11 years ICM, Inc. has partnered with Wichita Habitat for Humanity to sponsor the building of a home in the Wichita community. Employees and community volunteers roll up their sleeves and help build a home for a local family.
As a company built upon a foundation of faith, ICM believes in supporting the mission of Habitat for Humanity. It’s a privilege to work with Habitat for Humanity over the years, and we consider it a blessing to be able to help others achieve their dream of home ownership. We’ve also enriched our own lives through the spirit of giving, and ICM’s employees are looking forward to work alongside with each family and other community volunteers to build a solid, energy-efficient home.
Wichita Habitat for Humanity’s homeownership program offers a hand-up to families who do not qualify for traditional mortgages. Habitat partner families complete mandatory homebuyer education classes, work 250-400 sweat equity hours and sign a 20-year, 0% no-profit mortgage. A typical monthly mortgage payment including homeowner’s insurance and taxes is $360 and an average monthly utility bill is $100 for these Energy Star certified homes.
“We are honored and humbled by ICM’s long-standing commitment to our mission of eliminating poverty housing in Sedgwick County. We offer our deep appreciation to ICM for their willingness to sponsor and help build . . . these homes.”
